I’m playing Doom Machine: Death Hack on the middle difficulty with target rows one and six. I won my previous game, and I’m explaining this one as I go, using my browser setup for playing it digitally. I do this with a lot of print-and-plays, especially when I’m not sure how much I’ll end up playing them. If I really love something I’d usually rather buy a physical copy, but this is the in-between for me.
I got a lot of squares early and spent a fair amount of time trying to keep the firewall from getting away from me. By the end I’d gotten all 36 points from my side of the terabytes track and another 28 from the special targets. Then I started counting my seven recruits… and remembered I needed to upgrade at least one of them for ANY of those points to count. So that’s a big whopping zero. My final count was 64 to the machine’s 65, assuming I didn’t miss anything else. I probably could have moved some things around, but I don’t know if what I’d have given up was worth more. This is how you learn, I guess.
