I’m back at the table with Enchanted Ivy, starting with the prologue and then moving into Scenario 1, Restless. I’d already tried the prologue once before recording, and apparently keeping all the ivy connected went better when nobody was watching. This time I finish with two patches, but the guests do enough to get me past the opening goal. The Mystery Knight gets a row to himself, the Painter gets the neighbors he wants, and the Monk has to put up with some company.
Scenario 1 adds the Bard, Fool, and Ravenkeeper, and I start trying to make plans for everybody at once. I want an empty column for the Fool, a crowd for the Bard, and somehow all the ivy is supposed to connect around that. Then I realize the Ravenkeeper challenge specifically wants points from Scarecrows. I read that at the beginning and still managed to forget it. By the last few cards I’m trying to salvage the ivy and moving the Painter around, which also costs me some of the Fool’s points.
I end up recording 62 points, three short of the high-score goal, with one progress sticker and neither bonus challenge. There is a small asterisk on that second game because I look at the leftover cards and lose track of which pair I originally had. I call it out in the recording. For now I’m tracking the stickers digitally, and my plan is to go through the scenarios before circling back for the things I missed. Let me know if you want to see more of this one.
