I’m finally starting Where It Ranks, putting the board games I’ve played into one big list. This first batch is 25 games, from Risk Legacy and The Mind to My City and Arkham Horror: The Card Game. Some I’ve played a lot, some only once or twice, and a few I clearly need to get back to the table. I’m keeping my personal ranking separate from my score and tier, which sounds straightforward until I start comparing a party game to a campaign game.
Risk Legacy gets to be the game I’m apparently afraid will break up another gaming group. Flip 7 does well because I’ve had fun with it with my kid and with different groups, while Small World and Exploding Kittens never really clicked for me. Confusion is one I went out of my way to find, and Mechs vs. Minions is one I wish I hadn’t sold. Then My City and Arkham Horror make the top of the list harder to settle. None of this is permanent… I’d rather get the list started and change my mind as I play more than keep putting it off.
